this mum sent me a couple of different iPhone pics with her clothing options – one with blues and greens (which also would have looked fab) and one with reds, pinks and bright colours. Just shows that colours don’t necessarily all have to be ‘block’ colours (i.e. patterns can work), as long as they coordinate and don’t fight with each other for attention.

why does this work well: the overcast day at the beach meant that the whites didn’t ‘blow out’ – Dad tied in with the girls with the stripes, and the different shades of pinks / reds worked well together. Denim again tied the look together and mum’s red scarf made the whole look cohesive. The colour pop against the white sand and sandstone building looked just brilliant. Shoes off as always for a casual look for the beach :)
