heading out to take photos for no reason at all except for fun, is a major creative (and motivational) booster for me… and last week I headed out with my friend Stephen Casey for some fun – thanks Steve for suggesting this shoot and sorting out the gear to make it happen!
we headed to a little spot near my place with a great view of the city… and then proceeded to spark up steel wool with a 9v battery… and let me tell you, the sparks flew!! I was a little bit nervous that the owners of the VERY large homes above us would call the police! then my second thought was to double check that it wasn’t a total fire ban day!!! luckily we had lots of fun without the boys in blue being called :)
so, this was harder than it looks… my little fingers got quite sore with the twirling and I couldn’t quite get the spark up as fast or as well as Steve could! There was ALOT of shutting my eyes and hoping for the best, as well as a few strands of singed hair :)
anyway, you can probably tell which one is me and which one is Steve :)
we tried doing some words (which didn’t really work) so next time, I think I want to try that :)
if you like these images, I would love it if you shared, left a comment below or even just liked the post to let Steve and I know :)
